Om Prakash Sharma
O.P. Sharma, born in 1932 at Bawal, Haryana was a modernist. He did his Diploma in fine arts at the College of Art, New Delhi in 1950s. Then, he did his postgraduation in fine arts and art history at the Art Students League, New York from 1964 to 1966. Sharma is known to have painted several complex and abstract paintings in his career, experimented with the Neo-Tantric art theme in his work.
Sharma has held several solo exhibitions at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in 2007; Visual Art Gallery, IHC, Delhi in 2005 and Gallery Zen, Bangalore in 2001.
